Marie Louise Williams


Passionate about the environment and sustainability.

Inspired by science, music, creativity as a fundamental to life and working with the inherent qualities of a material to suggest form.


Marie holds a BA in Fine Art from Wirral School of Art and a BA in Chinese Culture, Philosophy and Russian from Durham University.


Her work has been exhibited at the Liverpool Biennial Independents  in 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012,  the last 3 years of which she was also the curator.

Some of her jellyfish have been on long-term display in The Liverpool World Museum as part of the "De-junk, Re-junk" exhibition of art  and crafts made from recycled materials.

She has taught
workshops to both adults and children in museums, galleries and schools across Wirral and Merseyside since 2004 including The Bluecoat, The Williamson Art Gallery and Birkenhead Park. Her work on the Eco-schools Project with Wirral Council has contributed to a number of Wirral schools gaining Green Flag status.
